Oh what fun I had this past Saturday at the Summer Solstice event in Culver City! I teamed up with My Little Sunshine, a gem of a children's boutique located in the Culver City Arts District, and helped to bring awareness on the natural, gentle effectiveness of Oriental Medicine for kids. An ancient Oriental Medicine specialty in Asia, but a burgeoning field in present day Oriental Medicine in the West, Pediatric Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (PAOM) is just getting itself off the floor with intrepid acupuncturists like myself.
The public was definitely surprised to learn that Pediatrics is an actual specialty in our medicine, and were even more surprised to learn that kids can be effectively treated without the use of acupuncture needles. I had both parents and their children experience some of the instruments I use in the clinic, like a roller and a spoon, and both were delighted at the stimulating yet soothing sensations they felt from them.
It was also very nice to meet fellow female entrepreneurs with their booths next to me, have live music being performed by musicians and bands alike throughout the day, and works of art being created right in front of my eyes.
Friends, the curious, and passer by's stopping by Iyashi Wellness. It was so much fun seeing everyone. Thanks for stopping by Iyashi Wellness' booth!!
Next up, my class on Iyashi Touch - a therapeutic massage for kids class! And right back at My Little Sunshine! Hope to see you there!
